December 2025: House prices across the regions of the UK
House prices falling across Southern England
Over the last year and a half, there have been great regional differences with house prices.
House prices in Southern England have dipped for the first time in 18 months. With all the conversations regarding the budget, second home ownership decreasing and the introduction of the Renters Reform Act impacting more landlords, it is not a surprising downturn in the market.
This presents a much scarier situation for sellers then previous selling markets.
Further challenging for homes for sale in Southern England are that there is up to 15% more stock for sale than a year ago, pushing into even more of a buyers’ market.
