An email which was allegedly sent by the department of Communities and Local Government (CLG) saying the roll-out of Hips had been a smooth success has been described as "blatant spin". The National Association of Estate Agents (NAEA) says that the message sent by the government's Hips Programme Team "lacks any substance whatsoever". NAEA president Stewart Lilly disputed the email's positive claims that Hips have been effective in speeding up the selling process stating instead that he believed they had had a negative effect on the market. "This latest communication from the government is blatant spin," he said. "It lacks any substance whatsoever if there are in fact statistics to back up the claims then we would urge the CLG to make them public to save further embarrassment." Today, estate agent Knight Frank warned that the 'Hips honeymoon' would soon be over when on January 1st it will become illegal to market a property without one. Julian King of fast property sale leaders National Homebuyers adds, "People looking to sell without having a Hips pack in place have an option with National Homebuyers. "As a private commercial buyer, we do not require the vendor to have a Hips pack in place in order to purchase each property. This can save hundreds of pounds and removes the likelihood that a buyer will pull out or use the content of the packs to renegotiate a price 'late down the line'. "Hips has been poorly planned and executed". Mr King is a fast property sale expert at National Homebuyers, the UK's leading quick house sale company. The company guarantees to make a cash offer to purchase any property from vendors who want a quick sale.
